05 Apr Lazareth – The 1st Flying motorcycle
Lazareth LMV 496 ”La moto volante” is the first motorcycle that can ride on the road and fly in the sky. The motorcycle is designed by Ludovic Lazareth a French custom auto/moto maker and is inspired by his Maserati V8-powered four-wheel leaning motorcycle. The motorcycle is equipped with JetCat jet turbine in the hub of each wheel which converts the bike from ride to fly mode. It can convert from ride to fly mode in approximately 60 seconds. Lazareth has hover-tested the bike on tethers to a height of 3.3 ft (1 meter). The entire bike weighs just 140 kg, and makes some 240 kg of thrust in flight mode. The LMV 496 is equipped with an electric motor to drive on the road and a heat engine to power the turbines. Lazareth will be presented next October at the Gitex fair in Dubaï.
