12 Nov Lucid Air, the new 100% electric sedan
Lucid Motors, the Californian based builder, challenges Elon Musk and his Tesla.
Indeed after 5 years of development, he is about to market his first electric car: Lucid Air.
Equipped with all-wheel drive and two electric motors delivering up to 1,080 hp (for the most powerful version), the Lucid Air could reach 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and 270 km/h on top speed!
Lucid Air also claim a record autonomy: up to 832 km for the Grand Touring model.
According to the manufacturer, one could travel more than 730 km at regulatory speed on American highways (110 km/h).
The battery can withstand a voltage of 900 V and a charge of up to 300 kW. It takes only 20 minutes to return to the equivalent of 482 km of autonomy.
In addition, the battery is compatible with bi-directional charging, which means that it can re-inject energy into the power grid.
First deliveries are scheduled for spring 2021.
